The Bridge Missions Team is a group of lay volunteers from The Bridge who share a passion for reaching out from our church through the sending/supporting of long and short term missionaries, ministries, projects, both locally and globally. The team meets regularly and actively seeks to educate The Bridge body on the work being supported, and encourage active involvement in Missions. The team serves a vital role in assessing support requests and making recommendations to the elders/pastors.

Missions Team Responsibilities:

  • Attend team meeting once per month
  • Act as a liaison for at least one permament missionary/ministry and the church/small groups assigned to that missionary/ministry
  • Assist in the annual Bridge to Hope event
  • Assist in the annual Celebration service
  • Participate as necessary in interviews and assessments of missions candidates
  • Support as able the various Bridge Missions projects and consider going on short term missions
  • Encourage others to support missions
  • Assist in publicizing Missions opportunities/activities to the rest of the church body
  • Keep all our Missions in your prayers
  • Commit to at least 1 year of service
