Preschool Ministry

safari-land-logoOn Sunday mornings in Safari Land at The Bridge, Tour Guides (Small Group Leaders) and Adventure Guides (Large Group Leaders) will lead kids through a safari as they explore God’s wonder. We offer five age breakouts:

  • Koalas (birth-confidently walking)
  • Monkeys (born 12/3/07-12/2/08 must be walking)
  • Elephants (born 12/3/06-12/2/07)
  • Zebras (born 12/3/05-12/2/06 must be potty trained)
  • Lions (born 12/3/04 or earlier-12/2/05)

candid-safariland2The curriculum in Safari Land uses a unique approach designed to give preschool children a first impression of their loving heavenly Father.  There are five key strategies:

Teach less for more - Repeats one key truth (Bottom Line) all month long.
Engage the five senses - Helps master the concept through creative activities.
Experience worship - Encourages children to talk to God any time, any place.
Connect at home - Provides parents with ideas for conversation with their child at home.
Teaches 3 basic truths - Helps a child by age five, to believe:

God Made Me
God Loves Me
Jesus Wants to be My Friend Forever

Each Sunday the kids will "explore God's wonder" through four segments of programming:

  1. During "Make it Fun" the kids participate in an activity that helps prepare them for what they will hear from the Adventure Guide.
  2. "Make it True" is the Large Group time where the Adventure Guide delivers a story from the Bible in a very fun and engaging manner and leads worship "Preschool Style". 
  3. "Make it Real" is the Small Group time where the Tour Guide leads a group of 4-6 children in discussions about the story and prays with the group.candid-safariland
  4. "Make it Stick" reienforces the concept through fun activities.

All of our loving volunteers have been through the Live Scan (fingerprinting) process before serving in Children's Ministry at The Bridge.
